The quickest way for a roofer to lose a customer is to sell them a new roof when a repair would have done — and we would rather keep our customers.
So you get a proper look, photographs of whatever we find, and a straight answer — even when the straight answer is “leave it another few winters”.

How it works
Tell us what the roof is doing. If water is coming in right now, say so and we will treat it as an emergency.
We come out, get up there properly and photograph anything we find so you can see it for yourself.
A clear price with the work itemised. No call-out charge, no pressure, and it stays valid while you think.
We turn up when we said, work tidily, take the waste away and leave the site swept.

Questions
There is no single price — a couple of slipped tiles is a very different job from a leaking valley or a chimney that needs re-leading. What we can promise is that you get a fixed price in writing before anything starts, with no call-out charge for the look and the quote. Ring 07700 900000 and describe what you are seeing and we can usually give you a sensible ballpark on the phone.
We answer the phone 24/7 and prioritise anything actively coming into the house. For a live leak in Billericay we will normally get to you the same day to make it safe and stop the water, then come back to do the permanent repair in daylight and dry conditions.
Yes. We come out, get up on the roof or use a ladder and camera, and give you a written quote at no charge and with no obligation. If we take photographs of the problem you are welcome to a copy of them whether or not you use us.
It depends on the covering, its age and how much of it is failing. One or two isolated defects on an otherwise sound roof is a repair. Widespread tile delamination, failed felt at the eaves, sagging timbers or a roof that has been patched repeatedly usually points to a re-roof. We will tell you honestly which camp yours is in — and we are happy to say "repair" when a repair is the right answer.

Yes — flat roofing is a large part of what we do. We work in torch-on felt, GRP fibreglass, mastic asphalt and EPDM rubber, and we will recommend the system that suits how that particular roof drains and how often anyone walks on it.
Almost always. Chimney leaks usually come down to perished pointing, a cracked flaunching at the top, or lead flashings that have lifted or been mortar-filled instead of properly dressed. Any of those can be put right without touching the rest of the roof. A stack that has genuinely gone will need rebuilding, and we do that too.
A typical Billericay semi or terrace is usually three to five working days once the scaffold is up, and a larger detached house a week or so. Weather is the main variable — we sheet up overnight and will not strip more roof in a day than we can cover before it rains.
Free inspection, a written price before anything starts, and someone who answers the phone at 2am when water is coming through a ceiling.
